ACES Basic (Lincoln City, OR)

Lincoln County Auxiliary Communications is sponsoring an ACES Basic course in Gleneden Beach.  The course will be two days, 8am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday.  The course is taught at the Gleneded Beach Fire Station, 6445 Gleneden Beach Loop, Gleneden Beach Oregon.  Cost is $25 per person and include the student workbook and refreshements.  Course fees for Lincoln County ACS members will be covered by Lincoln County.  Pre-registration is required, course fees will be collected at the start of class.  Completion of ICS 100,200 and 700 are required for completion certificate.  Please plan on bringing copies of your ICS certificates to the class.  Students should bring their handheld radio with charger, extra battery if available, and an earphone/headset is helpful for nets and message passing exercise.  Plan on programming your handheld radio many times and participating in message handling exercises.  Please email Daron N7HQR with any questions n7hqr@oregonaces.org

Seattle Auxiliary Communications Service (ACS) is sponsoring an ACES Basic certification course in Seattle.  The course fee is $25 per student at the door and includes the student workbook, handouts and certificate.  FEMA IS-100, IS-200 and IS-700 courses are required prior to certification and available online at http://training.fema.gov/is.  You must present a copy of your FEMA certificates.  You may attend the ACES course before completing the FEMA courses and you will receive your ACES certificate after comepletion of the FEMA courses.
